Pennsylvania Legal Services awarded its 2004 PLS Excellence Awards on March 10, 2004. The PLS Excellence Awards honor and celebrate some of the extraordinary people who are part of legal services community or who contribute their time and talents to legal aid programs and their clients across the state.

Award winners include pro bono volunteers, legal services staff and community leaders who excel in lending their assistance to Pennsylvania's legal aid programs and their clients.

The recipients were recognized at the annual awards dinner which was held at the Harrisburg Hilton and Towers. Pennsylvania Governor Edward Rendell was the keynote speaker for the event.

A video tribute highlighting the accomplishments of each of the award winners was shown as part of the presentation of the awards.
